I have personally been using CODEXIS AI since the beginning of 2025, and over that time the way I work with it has changed. At first I mainly used it for quick case-law research, for example when preparing appeals, constitutional complaints or lawsuits. It also helped me when providing legal advice.

Gradually I began using other features as well, such as document review, comparing contract versions and drafting submissions. I upload documents so the AI can give me a brief analysis, and I have also experimented with generating draft appeals. CODEXIS AI helps me verify the accuracy of my legal reasoning and points out regulations I might have overlooked.

Before I started using CODEXIS AI, I had to look up implementing decrees and technical standards manually, which was time-consuming. One example is a client asserting claims for liability for defects in a construction project. I had to track down the implementing regulations and technical standards in the field of construction law. In the past this would have taken me hours of work; today CODEXIS AI provides the relevant references and information significantly faster.

Another example is generating a draft appeal – first I had it create a list of legal grounds, then I selected the relevant points and the AI helped me develop them. The time savings are considerable – in some cases it amounts to hours of work per day.

Going forward, I would welcome an expansion of specialised modules, for example for criminal law and labour law. It would also help to be able to easily tailor the assistant to a specific firm. I would recommend Codexis AI to other attorneys, because it saves time, increases efficiency and creates more room for working with clients.
